“You” Make It Easier

There's been something I've been sitting on that I've wanted to do for a while in my business - for well over a year maybe even two. But…..I've been waiting for it to feel easier.

Each time the energy of this project would tap me on the shoulder I'd say - “Not yet, please come back later…still feels hard.”

I have been waiting for some perfect time in the future  where I wouldn't feel discomfort or resistance about it. Only that time never comes does it?

Sometimes we know there's somewhere we need to journey to, a new path we are being called to walk, something new we must create or somewhere else we need to be.

We can hesitate to step forward and go “all in” because we know this new path will be filled with unknowns, that it will stretch us and at times probably make us feel quite uncomfortable.

There may also be a perceived risk of emotional pain attached to it (judgements, opinions, a risk of 'failing').

We want all the good stuff that the 'new thing' is going to offer us, but there's often a hesitation to move from what we know into the discomfort of the unfamiliar.

But the truth is, to get the goods, we have to go through the discomfort rather than trying to go around it.

It's about not shying away from the discomfort and challenge of these things.

Recently, I felt some guidance drop in that said - it won't magically become easier by staying here. It gets easier by doing it.

It gets easier by showing up to the discomfort of doing the thing that's been feeling hard and guiding myself through it.

That's how it gets easier.

This might seem like a simple realisation, but it's supported me to push play on a project I've been putting off - maybe it might help you too?

I'm looking forward to sharing more details with you soon.
