What, How, What’s Next?
People will often come into my programs seeking something that’s missing from their lives:
…a job, a new opportunity, a new level of success, a relationship, clarity about what’s next.
Not feeling clear, or not seeing these things yet can feel unsettling.It can be tempting in these moments to think about it a lot ….or maybe we need to do a goal setting exercise??
Here's what I want you to know: clarity doesn’t happen through pressuring yourself with a goal setting exercise it arises as a by-product of creating space.
Coaching creates clarity for sure, but it’s also about creating space.
Often we’re saying we want something but there is literally no space physically + emotionally / mentally for it to show up.
(1) Physical space
How full is your working day or week?
Have you got space to just “be”?
Slow walks without music or phone
Intentional bedtime and morning practice (even for a few mins)
Limit scrolling, phone and computer use
Finding small pockets of time to let your mind be free
How does your physical environment feel?
(2) Emotional space
How full is your emotional cup?
How stressed, overwhelmed or overworked do you feel?
This is about creating time to process frustrations, worries, doubts and stresses so you feel more grounded in your body (see my 4 Step Process course for how)
The more grounded you feel, the more open you are
When we make the physical and emotional space a priority it opens our energy field. What we have been seeking, drops in often with very little effort on our behalf.
The “what”, “how” “what’s next” shows up, not because we’ve thought about it endlessly, but because we created space for it.
Clarity is a byproduct of space.
