Shifting Your ‘Under The Breath’ Self Talk
I often talk on the podcast about paying attention to your “under the breath” self talk.
This is the layer beneath the obvious, conscious layer of thinking. It takes a little more awareness to tune into what’s happening at this level.
It’s also this level of thinking that has the greatest impact on our results and outcomes (and how we feel about ourselves as we create these).
The vibrations and feelings in our bodies are often a good signal of what’s happening with our under-the-breath self talk.
When we feel tense and tight, the thoughts that can often be attributed to these feelings sound like:
“I should be doing better”
“This isn't happening fast enough”
“I need to be further along”
“It's never going to happen for me”
Even had these thoughts? I know I have!
These keep us on a hamster wheel of internal pressure and overwhelm.
The truth is, yes you can create results from this energy of pushing, but they will never feel like enough and they won’t give you the depth of fulfilment you’re hungry for.
Here’s the shift:
Working from a place that you have enough, know enough and are enough, creates a radical shift in how you feel about yourself as you work towards what you want
And the outer result?
You create the outcomes, results and achieve what you want with far greater ease.
This means, you can call in the opportunities, the money, the abundance, the clients, the job, the love you want - without burning yourself out in the process.
