Feeling More Relaxed As You Do Hard Things

Would you love to feel more relaxed as you do challenging things at work and in life?


 

Maybe there's an area of your work, that continually sends you into overwhelm or something new you would like to try, but it just feels too hard, too out of reach. 

Well, it starts and ends with creating safety in your body.
 

 


Here's what I mean by that…

 

 

As you reach the edges of your comfort zone, and you start to feel those familiar stress patterns arise:
 
(raciness, anxiousness, tension, overthinking - we all all have our own flavour ;) 

 

pause and guide your body into a feeling of safety. Demonstrate to your body and your nervous system that you’re safe as you do these new things.

 

Show your body that even as you do these new things, you have a safe place to land and return to (and that place is within you)
 

 Creating a feeling of safety in your body completely shifts how you experience stretchy situations and experiences.

 

Where once doing that thing felt:

heavy, hard, exhausting and stressful. 

 

it now feels:

lighter, more fulfilling and dare I say it enjoyable

 

Safety also supports us to take action. 

 

When we feel safe, we can take light, and consistent action towards what we want (less of the two steps forward, 5 steps back kind of thing)

 

We create the success we desire, from a calm and grounded place.
 

 

How do we create safety?

 

  • Coming out of the mind and into our body and grounding
     

  • Soothing the nervous system (soooo many things we can do here, EFT, gentle movement, breathwork)
     

  • Processing emotions and stressors as they come up to keep your emotional cup less full
     

  • Intentional thought and belief work
