You Can Always Change Your Mind

Coming up with ideas is always the fun part. Following through on them - this is where things get a bit tricky ;)

Often we are hesitant to fully commit or go 'all in' on something new because we’re worried that we might not ‘follow it through’ or it might not be a long term thing.

If you've got a whole bunch of things that you started and didn't finish, you'll know what I mean. More than likely, you're carrying this around unconsciously and it's holding you back.

Many of the clients I work with tend to be 'multi passionate' and I also place myself in this category. There are likely to be many things you enjoy and feel excited by.

There are probably ten things in your head right now that you could go out and action, turn into a business or set as a new project or goal.

Honestly, I feel like there are about 10 more businesses I could have right now. I'm never short on ideas ;)

What can stop us from actioning these things is we don’t want to appear flaky if we change our mind.

Here's the thing: You can totally change your mind. It’s your life. Not every idea is supposed to be a forever idea. Not every path is supposed to be a forever path.

We have to break ourselves out of this outdated thinking about work, career and what it means to discover our purpose.

This whole idea of our purpose being 'one thing' and something we have one shot at is extremely limiting. It's preventing us from being willing to explore and try new things.

If you're stuck at the ideas stage - can I remind you today that you can change your mind if you take action and don't end up liking what you find?

You get to do as many things as you like. Maybe even all at the same time. Nothing about this makes you flaky.

The question I have for you today is: What’s inspiring you right now?

The success with these ideas is not always about reaching the end outcome or goal, it's about what we learn and who we become on the journey.  That's always where the gold is.

If this resonates go and check out Episode 4 on my podcast, Steep Your Soul.

Approach your new ideas from a place of curiosity.

Let go of the expectations of how you think things need to look and simply allow the path to unfold.

Lead with an energy of:

"I wonder where this might take me?"

"How much fun can I have working towards this?

"What can I learn and how can I grow?"

Let's let go of the expectations, the pressure, the needing to impress or please others and just follow what feels good to us.

Your feelings and your heart won't ever let you down. Reminding yourself at every point - that you can always change your mind.
