Let Go of New Year Pressure
Happy New Year! I hope you’ve had a restful break and a good start to 2020 so far.
No doubt, you’ve seen a lot of messages around about setting goals and intentions.
For many people, there’s a sense of pressure that sets in to have your whole year sorted within the first weeks of January.
If you’re feeling this, I have an important message for you. I recorded a short video over on my Facebook at the beginning of the month. Check it out here.
Essentially I want to remind you that:
- You don’t have to rush into the year. It’s more than okay to ease into 2020 and take your time to feel into what you want this year to be about for you.
- With all of the 2020 motivation that’s around at the moment, remember that stillness and rest are important. Consciously create downtime and moments to connect back with yourself. This is the only way to access clarity.
- Intention setting doesn’t just have to happen in January. This month isn’t your only shot! It’s an ongoing process – something for us to review throughout the year.
I’ll be taking this month (and probably even some of February!) to completely define my intentions for the year ahead.
Take the pressure off and do it at your own pace!
