Ask Yourself This When Deciding on Your Intentions For The Year

Without realising it, many people set goals and intentions from a place of lack.
For example: “I need to lose weight, make more money, get another job..”
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look after your health, create more abundance in your life and to seek out new opportunities – the problem is the place that these goals are coming from.
The underlying message we are sending to ourselves is “let me achieve this, so that I can feel enough”.
Intentions and goals soaked in judgement will cause us to self sabotage.
They aren’t soul aligned so it’s not a surprise that within a few weeks or months, we’ve fallen back into old habits and patterns.
Sit with these questions:
As you move into this year and you’re feeling into what you want to achieve…check in:
✍️Are my goals coming from a true, soul-aligned place? Or am I working towards these things because once I do achieve them, I’ll feel like I’m enough?
✍️If I was to “try on” the idea that right now, in this moment I am already enough…would my priorities look different? What would be most important to me?
Sometimes I find when I sit with questions like this the answer comes immediately…other times I need to write them into a journal and continue to look at it over a few days for the inspiration to flow.
All the answers you need are within you. Create the space to tune into them.
